Job Offer - Elementary Montessori Educator
Montessori En Ville (« Montessori In The City ») is looking for a 6-12 Educator, to work along our 6-12 French-speaking guide, to take in charge our Elementary bilingual ambiance.
Who are we?
The school is located in Nantes (France) and is composed of 2 ambiances: one for the 2 to 6-year-olds and one for the 6 to 12-year-olds. Our team is completely bilingual.
We are welcoming French and foreign children: some of them speak only French, some of them only English, and some of them neither French nor English. We work on providing a secure space for them to enter in both French and English languages. We can teach in both languages to all children, which allows us to welcome every child wherever they are in their learnings.

Job details
Under the school’s administrator management, and alongside our 6-12 French-speaking guide, you will work with children from 6 to 12 years old.
The goal is to guide the English-speaking children into learning French, and to teach English to the French-speaking children.
Our French-speaking guide and you will carry together the Montessori pedagogy within the ambiance and look after the children’s fulfillment. As a young school, we are welcoming children from different school systems, and children with specific needs, and we guide them on the path to Montessori pedagogy.
The job is a 70% part time:
• The school is open 4 days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, but you will have Thursday afternoons and Fridays off
• You will work from 8.30am to 4.30pm and up to 6.30pm once a week to take care of the afterschool + a 1 hour video meeting on Wednesday mornings
• A preparation hours package is included in the contract
• Permanent contract
Monthly gross salary: 1 517€
Starting date: August 25th 2025
The working hours and salary can grow in the future, depending on the number of children enrolled in the school.
Profile:
• You already have professional experience with children between 6 and 12 years old
• AMI Montessori trained for children between 6 and 12 years-old (or equivalent) would be a plus
• You are fluent in English and can speak French – We (team and children) would be glad to help you improve your French!
• Your values are in harmony with the school’s values: opening, loyalty, respect and solidarity
• You are autonomous and you want to participate to the project and to evolve with a growing school
• You are patient, resourceful, and you have strong listening and communication skills
